CellVoyant and Pluristyx Announce Strategic Partnership to Integrate Predictive AI with iPSC Technologies for Enhanced Cell Therapy Development

BRISTOL, UK and SEATTLE, WA, USA — 7 MAY 2026 — CellVoyant, a pioneer in AI foundation models for live, label-free cell analytics and predictive cell biology, and Pluristyx, a leading provider of induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) products and services, today announced a strategic partnership to co-develop a new generation of AI-characterised iPSC products.

The collaboration seeks to integrate CellVoyant’s Foundation Model-powered cell predictive AI platform with Pluristyx’s established technologies for human iPSC development and manufacturing.  The joint initiative aims to refine how cell quality is monitored by layering continuous, non-destructive insights onto traditional manufacturing workflows, moving the industry toward more data-rich, predictive assessments of cell behavior.

Cell therapy development is fundamentally constrained by biological variability and a reliance on retrospective endpoint assays. By combining CellVoyant’s label-free analytics with Pluristyx’s iPSC expertise, the partnership explores the transition from subjective visual inspection to more quantitative, real-time evaluation of cell state.

“Cell therapy development requires a shift from subjective and retrospective assessment to real-time, quantitative, and predictive measurement of cell quality,” said Rafael E. Carazo Salas, Founder and CEO of CellVoyant. “Our unique Foundation Model capabilities see, understand and predict cell quality hours or days ahead of time. By combining our AI-driven, non-destructive cell analytics with Pluristyx’s industry-leading human iPSC technologies, we enable a new standard, where cell products are not only well characterised but predictably performant from the outset.”

“At Pluristyx, we provide the foundational materials that drive therapeutic breakthroughs,” said Dr. Benjamin Fryer, Co-Founder and CEO of Pluristyx. “Collaborating with CellVoyant allows us to explore how advanced AI models can provide our partners with more comprehensive, data-driven insights into cell consistency and potential and enhanced cell products.”

Pluristyx’s human iPSC lines will be evaluated using CellVoyant’s non-destructive, AI-driven characterisation platform, generating quantitative data packages that directly inform cell selection and process decisions. These outputs include:

  • AI-derived quality metrics quantifying pluripotency and cell state consistency
  • Early prediction of differentiation potential across lineages, enabling upfront lot and line selection
  • Detection of subtle morphological signatures associated with genomic instability risk during extended culture

By layering these insights onto existing quality control protocols, the collaboration aims to provide developers with a more robust data foundation for selecting and progressing cell lines and will support more efficient development timelines.

Pluristyx will be present at the ISCT Annual Meeting in Dublin in May and both companies will attend the ISSCR Annual Meeting in Montreal in July.
